
Ibrahim Kitoo, MCIArb
Mr. Ibrahim Kitoo is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and brings on board more than 12 years of hands-on legal corporate and public sector experience. He is currently engaged as the Chief Legal Officer, Projects & Disputes Resolution with the Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC with prior experience and engagements in private legal practice, insurance, oil and gas, tax, banking law and practice.
He holds a Masters Degree in Law (specializing in public finance and financial services law) and Bachelors Degree in Law all from the University of Nairobi. He is a graduate of the Kenya School of Government Strategic Leadership Development Programme and alumnus of the Oxford’s Leading Strategic Projects Programme at the Said Business School.
He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Strategy at the Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He is an active member of the Law Society of Kenya, East Africa Law Society, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (Kenya and London Chapters), Institute of Directors (Kenya), the Kenya Institute of Management and the African Corporate and Government Counsel Forum (ACGCC).
He is a Commissioner for Oaths, Notary Public, Projects Management Professional (PMP), Public Private Partnerships Infrastructure (PPP) Professional, and also Pension Schemes Trustee Certified. He holds various executive programme’s certifications and trainings in Public Policy, Projects Management, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Leadership Development all from the Strathmore University Business School, Public Private Infrastructure Partnerships from the Universities of Queensland, Australia, University of Pretoria, South Africa and APMG, Contracts Management from the University of Southampton, Advanced Arbitration Investment from the International Law Institute in conjunction with the George Town Law Center, George Town University, Advanced Project Finance Training under the auspice of the World Bank Group, the Southern African Development Community Development Finance Resource Centre (SADC – DFRC), Advanced Directorship Programme from the Institute of Directors, Kenya and also Corporate Governance from the Centre for Corporate Governance, Kenya.
Ibrahim also serves as an Audit Committee Member of the Office of the Attorney-General & Department of Justice, Kenya, Audit Committee of the Law Society of Kenya and Global Advisory Committee Member of the P3 World Council. He has previously served as an Audit Committee member of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Kenya.
