Questworks hosts the Africa Project Finance Program at the ParallelFour Hostel in Nairobi, Kenya

The candidates of Cohort 1 of 2021 of the Africa Project Finance Program had a successful and insightful site visit of the ParallelFour Hostel build developed by Questworks on a Design Build Finance Operate Transfer contract.
According to the Co-Founder and CFO, Mr. Tim Kipchumba, Questworks owns a 25 year lease for construction and operation of the hostel which is part of a series of investment by the company in quality and affordable student hostels aimed at addressing the students’ housing deficit in the market.
Through the visit, the candidates were able to understand the structuring of the project, the challenges and complexities of closing financing for the project and possible solutions to addressing the financing challenge in the market.
The Africa Project Finance Program is a three months extensive training program whose objective is to equip university graduates with practical skills and knowledge in project finance and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).
The program comprises of up to 60 hours of theoretical training in project finance and PPP, 6 expert talks by infrastructure industry leaders from across the globe and 3 site visits of live projects. This combination will give the candidates the requisite skills to deliver efficiently in the infrastructure sector.
