The Africa Project Finance Program Alumni Association is a closely knit family of pacesetters in the infrastructure space that are keen to influence how Africa plans, finances and manages infrastructure development.

The Association comprises of graduates, expert trainers and speakers of the Africa Project Finance Program, a training program that equips professionals in the infrastructure sector with practical knowledge and skills in infrastructure project finance and Public Private Partnerships (PPP).

The Association provides an efficient platform to network with some of the leaders in the infrastructure sector and an avenue to continuously enhance the skills set of the members through training and capacity building initiatives on emerging issues in the infrastructure sector in Africa.

    Kefa is a finance and risk management professional with over 30 years of experience obtained through working with International and regional banks as well as consulting and training. He brings onboard practical experience in project finance and risk management touching on the entire project life cycle. In advisory, Kefa has advised and successfully structured transactions for clients across different sectors in Africa seeking finance, including agriculture, manufacturing, telecommunications, oil and gas. Kefa is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Africa Risk Management Advisors, a boutique professional services firm offering finance and risk management advisory, training and placement services. He is also active trainer in Enterprise Risk Management where he has trained African Commercial Banks, Development Finance Institutions, Corporates, Development Agencies and Public Sector enterprises both at the Board and operational levels. Kefa is quite visible in the advancement of the risk management profession, having established the Kenyan Chapter of Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and served as the first Regional Director of the Chapter. As Regional Director, Kefa hosted a bi-monthly risk management forums and networking sessions. In addition, he is the convenor of Africa Risk Forum, a forum for discussing topical risk management issues across Africa. Kefa holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from Kenyatta University, a Diploma in Risk Management in Finance and Banking from Sweden, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
